31 AUGUST 2003 The battles have been fought bitterly, the death toll in the millions, and the dust settles as the the campaign draws to a close. Coinciding with the ending of the Eye of Terror campaign, so has ended the gathering of Angels. The final results, the completion of the narrative campaign story and other articles will continue to be worked on in the coming months. I would like to take this moment to thanks all the Dark Angel players who participated in spirit as well as in person in the campaign. The Inner Circle and I are most eternally grateful for the support and enthusiasm you gave us. 17 SEPTEMBER 2003 Gamesday UK 2003 has come and gone. It was a great experince for me, especially being able to meet up with members of the B+C board. here is a personal account of the day with a selection of photographs for those of who are interested. |
13 JUNE 2003 Long we prepared for war this day, to hold the despoiler well at bay In the fires of hell he plans and plots, evil lurks and shadows play! Imperial legions corrupted by decay emperor's sons led astray God machines, foul daemons, billions of heretics under his sway! Onward he marches death at his feet, plague and famine follow to greet Fiery skies, roiling oceans, burning air and rotting meat! Innocence defiled, honour destroyed, murder and mayhem forever repeat In his vision he feels like god for who may dare blockade his fleet! In this hour of darkness and despair, all would question who would dare As this daemon leaves its lair to destroy all that is pure and fair. Defiler of worlds, death incarnate, daemons throng by the score Valiant warriors we go to war, defy him we shall forever and more! With sword in hand we shall remove that sore Our feats of might shall become fabled lore! Powerfists raised, bolters ready, to slay the villain our aim so true In space or land, on sea or sand we shall stain the land with the daemons gore! Sons of Jonson the true first born, prepare your souls for battle reborn, Strike the enemy where hope forlorn, you shall not falter until the new dawn! Stand by me with warrior's pride, the son of darkness shall not pass Let them try for woe betide, the emperors angels are here en masse! One is a Deathwing force, Strike Force Invigilium, hunting orks in the Charadon sector. Strike Force Broadsword, Strike Force Sandalphon and Strike Force Retaliation are Dark Angel forces. Larry Grayson presents a phenomenal Strike Force Absolution the first Angels of Absolution army displayed in the Fortress site. Another first is the coming of a Dark Angel EPIC 40K army, Battle Force Devastation, courtesy of Mark Konz. There are three conversion articles this time. Erik Johnson describes "How to hinge Rhino MkII Doors", while master converter Marcin Radoslav Kurcewski describes "Sculpting a Dark Angel Hero" and "Sculpting an Interrogator-Chaplain". Peter Falkingham presents "The Hunter" about a Dark Angel deathwing scout hunting the fallen. Grandmaster ==ME== shares his concepts on aerial assault in Tactica Drop Pods while Bootae expands on his use of terminators in How to make the most of your terminators.
