PROCESS OF ADJUDICATION Each army will be checked to see if they fit the basic requirements as detailed earlier. If they are acceptable, then they enter the competition. All armies accepted in to the competition will be displayed in the "Librarius Corona Intimus" section of the Fortress of the Unforgiven site and credit given to the owner. Each army so displayed will be judged by a panel made up of the moderators from the Bolter & Chainsword chatboard. - Arch Angel Cragganmore - Brother Tyler - Kurgan the Lurker - Project XXVIII - Straycatt - Salpyro Armies will be given a total overall score based on the criteria listed below and the one with the highest score wins! Winner is announced and the prize awarded. |
SCORING PROCESS Each squad, unit and independent character will be marked on the quality of modelling and the quality of the history submitted by you. Points will be awarded under 6 categories. You can score a maximum of five points in each category giving a total maximum score of 30 points. Quality of modeling Each unit / independant character will be scored in the following manner for a maximum of 5 points. Once all units / independant character has been scored, they will be added and an average calcualated. 1 point - Basic paint job including the base. 1 point - Shading / high lighting. 1 point - Minor conversion/s 1 point - Major conversion/s 1 point - Background scenary used for photography Quality of background history Each unit / independant character will be scored in the following manner for a maximum of 5 points. Once all units / independant character has been scored, they will be added and an average calcualated. 1 point - unit / independant character are named 1 point - Weapons and wargear described 1 point - Basic Battle history of the unit 1 point - Detailed Battle history of the unit - 1 point - Squad leader/vehicle commander individually detailed So each squad/unit/character can earn a maximum of five points for modeling and five points for the background making a total of 10 points maximum score. Each unit will be thus scored out of 10, and then an average calculated for your army. That is all the scores will be added together and divided by the number of units/characters/squads in the army to give your average of 1-10 points. To this a further overall score will be added by the moderators. Overall visual effects The whole army will be assessed for its overall visual appeal and be given a score between 1-5. Overall background history The army's background history will be assessed for its quality and be given a score between 1-5. Size of the submitted army 1 point for every 1000 points of army up to a maximum of 5000 points. Any army that is submitted containing more than 5000 points will score a bonus point of +1 point. Number of Units 1-5 units - 1 point 6-10 units - 2 points 11-15 units - 3 points 16-20 units - 4 points > 1 independent character - +1 point Maximum 5 points So ultimately each army will be able to score a maximum of 30 points. |

BASIC REQUIREMENTS / EXCLUSION CRITERIA The army must be minimum 1000 points in size and maximum 50,000 points (as per 3rd edition) The army must satisfy the basic criteria using the standard force organization chart. ( Minimum 1 HQ and 2 TR; Maximum 2 HQ, 6 TR, 3 FA, 3 EL and 3 HS) All units and characters must be painted. The presence of even one unpainted miniature will disqualify you. The army may be made up of the following: - Dark Angel Battle Company (Regular DA army) - Deathwing Army - Ravenwing Army - Similar armies from successor chapters (Official or one of your own creations) - Fallen Amry. (Codex DA, SM or Chaos - no demons Chaos undivided only and minimal mutations) The army must adhere closely to the Dark Angel philosophy. ( no heroes of the imperium, no assassins and no aliens to be taken as allies.) You must submit one photograph of the entire army and one image of each squad and each independent character. You must also send in a description of each of each squad and each independent character. The army must be your original work. If specific parts of your army are commissioned work please credit the contributor. (But if the whole army is commissioned work, then it would be unfair to enter it) |
