The Assault on Kadillus harbour 4021997.M41

Ork Warboss's  Briefing:

The Ork forces must be led by a mega armoured warboss, who may be Ghazhkull himself. The forces must include atleast one unit of Lootas and may not include any other HS choices!

">
">
">
Scenario Overview:

Ghazhkull launched a powerful  surprise attack on Kadillus harbour knowing that he had to overrun it quickly before the imperial defender's reacted. Within an hour more than half the city was overrun. This scenario depicts his advance to capture his main objective, the Kadillus Power Station.
Scenario Special Rules:

This mission uses the following standard special rules: Infiltrators, Random Game Length, Force Restriction, Capture the Objective Intact and Reserves.

Set Up:

1. Set up terrain. Ideally it should be played amidst a lot of ruins to reflect the urban nature of the battle.
2. Both players roll a die and the winner chooses one long table edge as his deployment area.
3. Defender places the powerplant within 12" of his board edge but atleast 12" from either short edges edge and 24" from the attackers deployment zone.
4. Defender deploys any of his troops & HQs within 12" of the powerplant. All others come in as reserves.
5. Attacker deploys any troops capable of infiltrating after defender has set up. The infiltrators may deploy anywhere on the battlefield as long as they are atleast 18" away from the nearest defenders and the powerplant.
6. Attackers gets first turn and moves his entire force from his table edge.
Dark Angels Briefing:

The Dark Angels' forces must be led by 2 HQ choices. The forces must include one unit of Deathwing terminators and two tactical squads, each led by one of the above characters. The Dark Angel forces may not contain any HS choices. The Dark Angel forces which start on the table must be atleast 12" away from each other to reflect the nature of Ghazhkull's surprise attack.

Scenario Special Rule: Capture the objective intact:

The power plants of Piscina IV produce their geo thermal energy from deep thermal vents drilled in to the deep volcanic beds. The energy so gleaned is then conducted through a grid of conduits to the cities. Any explosion or destruction of the thermal power stations could easily start a chain reaction in the volcanic bed and result in a critical melt-down of the whole planet.

Therefore NO RANGED FIRE may be used to target models or vehicles within 3" of the power stations.

Scenario Special Rule: Force Restriction:

The Dark Angels forces may not contain more than one unit of Deathwing or 2 units of ravenwing attached to them They may also not take Landraiders of any descriptions as these would not be deployed on a routine recruitment mission.

The Ork forces are hamstrung by the inability to deploy their heavy weaponry from the Scylla to Piscina IV due to the restrictions of the teleporter technology. Hence they may not take any Battlewagons or Looted vehicles
