Storm of Vengeance Scenario II
DARK CATHEDRAL
The Assault on Kadillus Harbour 4024997.M41
By ( Shadow Guard )

Attacker's Briefing:

The attacking force may be Orks or Dark Angels must consist entirely of foot troops, dreadnoughts and bikes. No vehicles are allowed. As the attacker your aim is to wipe out every last enemy defender.

Scenario Overview:

After capturing the second power plant and most of Kadillus harbour in his surprise assault, Ghazhkull dug in for the inevitable Imperial counter-attack, which was not long in coming. While the orks wer busily beating back the initial Dark Angel probes in Kadillus harbour, Master Belial took a lateral approach and moved strong forces to Koth Ridge. Thus the Dark Angels stood across ork supply routes cutting them off from reinforcements. Then began the slow process of clearing the harbour city, house by house and street by street. The bloodiest battle took place in and around the Dark Angels Basilica, which was a towering structure thus providing a strategic advantage to whoever held it.
Scenario Special Rules:

Hidden deployment, Night fighting (First turn only), Difficult Terrain  All bikes and dreadnoughts count as moving in difficult terrain on every turn, hence must pass a difficult terrain test each turn, in order to move. Force Restriction.

Set Up:

1. Each player rolls a D6 and the winner chooses to be the attacker or defender.
2. The attacker secretly writes down three entry points for his troops. These should be on one long board edge and one short board edge.
3. The defender then rolls a D6 for each of his squads, and on a 4+ may elect to deploy that unit in hiding, using hidden set up markers.
4. Attacker reveals his entry points and moves all his troops from any of the three points.
5. First turn counts for night fighting rules, after which the flares and fire from fighting lights the place up.
Defender's Briefing:

The defending force may be Orks or Dark Angels must consist entirely of foot troops, dreadnoughts and bikes. You must hold the Basilica and wipe out the attacking force quickly.

Scenario Special Rule: Force Restriction:

The Dark Angels forces may not contain more than one unit of Deathwing or 2 units of ravenwing attached to them They may also not take Landraiders of any descriptions as these would not be deployed on a routine recruitment mission.

The Ork forces are hamstrung by the inability to deploy their heavy weaponry from the Scylla to Piscina IV due to the restrictions of the teleporter technology. Hence they may not take any Battlewagons or Looted vehicles
