Scout Squad Angelus Mortis The final complement of the tactical troop selections come from a single scout squad from the parent chapter. Well armed with the potent marine scout rifle these were instrumental in the timely detection delaying of flanking forces which were threatening their main battle line, allowing their mobile units to deploy in time to destroy the threat. |
Assault Squad Vengeance Mortis The main assault element of the crusade force comes from the single assault squad detached from the Angels of Vengeance chapter. Armed with a terrifying array of chainswords, power weapons, bolt and plasma pistols they are instrumental in taking the battle to the enemy while also acting as a mobile counter assault force. |
Venerable Dreadnought Germanius Venerable Germanius was a techmarine of note in his life as a Dark Angel space marine. Inducted in to the Deathwing at an early stage, he was severely wounded in the battle against the ork warlord Ghazhkull on Piscina IV. Interned in the sarcphagus of a living dreadnought, he prefers the tools of long range destruction. Assigned to Strike Force Angelus Mortiferus Pinnatus he distinguished himself in the battles in the Cadian sector, increasing considerably the tally of enemy armour that he had destroyed with his devastating combination of laser and missiles. |
Devastator Squad Redemptio Mortis In order to compensate for the massive numerical superiority of the enemy forces, a devastator squad was assigned to the crusade force. The squad was supplied with their own rhino carrier for increased protection and mobility. Deviatng from the codex norms, the squad was up strengthed to contain more than the usual 10 men and a great range of their heavy weapons were store din their transport, increasing their flexibility. Under the superfluous command of veteran sergeant Venator and his two veteran marines the squad distinguished itself, at times holding the frontline on their own against hordes many times their number. |
Heavy Armour A standard Vindicator Assault Tank provides ordnance support for the force with its demolisher cannon. It has ample protection in the form of extra armour, search light and stormbolters. The Crusade Force uses a single modified version of the Predator Annihilator, where the crusade techmarines had replaced the turret with a an automated twin lascannon turret. This not only reduces the silhouette of the vehicle but also reduces the weight of the turret thus increasing its maneuverability. |
