Step 7 - Finalizing the Sculpt:

The sculpting part of the project was now nearly complete. I added a few more last minute details such as more power cables for the psychic hood, more details on the actua psuchic hood and the head of the librarian icluding power gems and other artifacts. Some detailing was added to the grip of the stormbolter too. I intended to hve the stormbolter holstered at his waist. I then let the librarian dry well. You can see all the completed parts of the project ready for assembly

Step 6 - Sculpting Fine Detail:

Seeing as this librarian is a Dark Angel Deathwing Terminator I decided that I should do atleast one sculpted icon, choosing one that I found to be a bit hard but not THAT hard. First I considered casting it , but the parts where this "icon"was on was either to big, too flat or in a hard to reach place where the cast would be pretty woeful after peeling it off. So I took to sculpting it . I first placed strips and balls of Greenstuff on the place where I wanted the icon and did the same thing as with the

Step 8 - Painting the completed model:

The following are the steps in my painting process:

1. primed white
2. painted the nooks and crannies with a mix of snakebite leather  and bubonic brown.
3. painted all the " going to be dark colors" areas with black.
4. went over the mini with bubonic brown, avoiding the nooks and crannies
5. started blending with bubonic and bleached bone mix towards pure BB and then from there mixed towards pure      white as final highlight.

The face: I left the eye white, dark flesh over rest of fleshed part of face, then a mixture of dark flesh and bronzed flesh mix working up to pure bronzed flesh with a final highlight of elf flesh and bronzed flesh mix. The bionic side of face was painted with Boltgun metal, then a black ink wash followed by highlights of mithril silver.
How to convert a Librarian of the Deathwing: Initial concepts and Thought Process

I was planning on creating a Deathwing army based on the famous short story "Deathwing" by Bill King from the anthology by the same name. I plan to model all of the characters and all in dynamic poses. This would include the captain (Cloud Runner), Sergaents (Weasel-Fierce, Bloody-Moon, Lame-Bear) , the Librarian (wo-Heads Talking) and the dreadnought (Hawk Talon) and the respective squads. I seriously plan on modelling them all in dynamic poses. This is my first attempt at producing a dynamically posed Deathwing Terminator. A box of plastic terminators is the first essential ingredient required to begin the process.

Two Heads Talking - Deathwing Librarian
lightning bolt. I pulled, cut and pushed the GS in to shape , making sure all seperate parts of GS would overlap and let it cure for only a small time.

Then I started to layer GS on the Dark Angel icon. First the shoulderpads or shoulder flaps, then the sword, then the arms, then again the shoulder flaps to give it more detail. After all that i did the feathers on the wings by pushing a sharp knife in it to make the lines and then dragging between the lines down to get some detailing.
The axe blade was done black as it was a dark colored area and then drybrushed da green over it. Then started blending from da green to snot green and from snotgreen to white on the blade edge.

All the deathwing symbols were then hand painted on. This is described in the next modelling article.

The base was flocked with sand with most stones filtered out , then brown inked it and let that dry, when dry i first dry brushed it with bubonic brown and then with bleached bone. I then added the static grass and a few large stones that i filtered out and painted the stone first black and then drybrushed them with various colors of grey.
This is the final product. This was my first attempt at sculpting complete parts from greenstuff putty.
