Brother Vaskus (honored)
Notes: Brother Vaskus fell during the battle of Koth Ridge. An Ork Zzap gun destroyed the lower vertebrae of his spinal column. Before receiving these fatal wounds, he led his men to intercept Nuzgrob the Bad's Scarboys, who were attacking a squad marines who had been shaken by a triple volley of Lobbas. The Scarboys were pushed back at the cost of five Omar's finest warriors. If Omar had not led that charge, the Orks would have most certainly broken the Dark Angel's primary defensive line, and cut the forces in two, proving fatal. For saving his brethren from total destruction, he was honored, then placed in a sarcophagus. Omar still retains his absolute determination, and can brush off hits that would leave a normal dreadnought seeing stars (extra armor). |

Rommelas Hive. During the battle, an Eldar task force overwhelmed the sewer entrance, and blew past the Second Battalion's defensive line. Helveticus intercepted them, and fought to the last man. The regimental militia eventual defeated the battered and weakened aliens before they could take control of the hive. A near dead Master Helveticus was found half dead, still strangling a warlock with his bare hands, an entire retinue at his feet. Though the Farseer had escaped with the remainder of his forces, the damage would have been much more severe had Helveticus not made this selfless sacrifice. Because of his unusual trait of firing with his left arm, he was given a Plasma Cannon on his left side, instead of right. |

Squad Name: Dire Swords
Notes: The Dire Swords are the Dire Angels main offensive force. Though they are armed similar to that of the Dire Shields, they maintain the aggressive personality required for brutal attacks. They are supported by Brother Helveticus, as his Plasma Cannon can soften up infantry before the Dark Angels need engage, then steps in if the Marines become over whelmed. The Dire Swords NCO, Sergeant Malory, |

Malory Rank: Staff Sergeant Wargear: Storm Bolter (un-known Pattern, Master Crafted), Master Crafted Power Sword, Melta-Bombs. Notes: Staff Sergeant Malory has been an outstanding role model, both spiritually and faithfully, to his subordinates, and other NCO's. His loyalty to chapter and Lion is surpassed only by the deep loyalty he feels towards his men. Many times has he been passed up for promotion, due to minor insubordination resulting from "over preparation of his men". Malory will never ask his men to do something he himself would not do first, and has frequently put his own self in mortal peril to save a green private from a vastly superior foe. Staff Sergeant Malory inherited command of the Dire Swords when the Late Staff Sergeant Urzeriah died from a sniper wound during the battle for Carstok VII. Malory was only a Corporal then, and was left with his superior's weapons and a squad of marines wearing damaged armor and all but depleted of ammunition. Malory saw himself as a direction for the squad instead of a ranking official. He retained this belief, even after training, and qualifying, for Sergeant.

Riekbar Rank: Corporal
Wargear: Plasma Cannon. Notes: Corporal Riekbar was a private when Sergeant Malory involuntarily gained command of The Dire Swords. He is generally quiet, speaking only when spoken to. His aggressive personality and ruthless efficiency made him a prime candidate for the squad. Riekbar often becomes fixated on a single task, and becomes oblivious to the area |

Notes: After his induction, Denabus broke his hand 18 times... in one month. His agility and reflexes are paramount, making him a prime candidate for an assault squad. Unfortunately, because of wounds, his left hand was permanently crippled. He can grip objects and make a fist, but cannot work his fingers separately, preventing him from working a chain sword or pistol in his left hand. Denabus uses a severed Ork leg in combat instead. Though it may seem a harmless weapon, the boot is covered in metal plating, creating a flail-like effect. Many a foe has mocked the melee weapon, only to have their head caved in by a vicious strike. His shot with a Plasma Rifle is decent, but not what it could be due to his over-eagerness in combat. Sergeant Malory is hoping that, in time, the seed of patience may grow in Denabus. |

Taerus Rank: Sergeant Wargear: Bolter. Notes: Taerus is next in line for command of The Dire Swords. He is an able enough commander, but believes Superior officers deserve more respect and admiration from their men than the men should receive from the commander. Taerus is a very tough marine. He lets no challenge go un-answered, and |
maintains the utmost respect and honor from his men that he returns by making sure they are always equipped for combat. He has even been seen passing out his own ammo to subordinates that expended theirs. Because of this, a devotion and valor, uncommon even among the Adeptus Astartes has been displayed by the squad as a whole. |
finds many questions that come across him as a challenge, even if from commanding officers. He is currently operating without a helmet because of a blow to the head he received from a Howling Banshee. Malachai is unable to repair it without complex parts, manufactured on The Rock. |
around him. He is immune to pain, not feeling the results of his action until after his adrenaline rush has worn off. Only once has Riekbar's Plasma Cannon overheated, and he sustained third degree burns over 35% of his body. He didn't noticed until he had returned to The Rock.
