Enter the Demon:

The golden demon entries were., in my opinion, laid out better than last year. But sadly, a lot of the cabinets were some distance from the barricades, so close up shots were difficult. Also by the time we entered a lot of the people who had not made the first cut had removed their miniatures. A sad loss to us, since some of the remaining miniature which had not made the first cut were still very good. I focussed on taking photos of those models that caught my eye and those of my wife's eyes. I was thrilled to hear that she had really enjoyed the Golden Demon section of the Gamesday. In the follwoing pages you will find images and some comments on the displays that caught my eye, not necessarily those that won the competition. The captions given are my own and not those of the competitors.

NECRON ATTACK

A unique and dynamic battle scene. I loved the idea that was attempted, though the execution of that idea was less than perfect.

I think the large amount of bare space in the scene detracts from its intrinsically excellent idea.

Nevertheless it was an eye catcher all the same. I loved the dynamic poses of the guardsmen reacting to the threat from the rear.
TYRANID ATTACK

I really liked the overall composition of this battle scenary. the colours and dynamism very excellent.

Unfortunately I really couldn't get closer to the display in order to  get really close up shots of this battle scene.
MATRIX ATTACK:

Another innovative battle scene. I don't think anyone will miss the the point of origin of this scene. There were some mumblings about the use of non-GW miniatures, but I now know that the Trinity model was entirely sculpted from scartch. An excellent piece of workmanship if I say so myself. One can't but admire the effort that went in to its creation.
