Demon continued:
The dynamism shown in the battle scene entries continued to amaze me. Here are a few more of such wonderful efforts, all of them providing a sense of movement and combat within the confines of stationary objects. |
RAPTOR vs WRAITH
Another dynamic scene that I loved, Sadly the distance made it impossible to get very close shots. I just loved the feeling off twisting aerial battle that this scene conveys. |
SPACEWOLF vs NIGHTLORDS
The feral battle lust of the space wol is captured very well in this battle scene, which shows off the mobility of both components. |
DARK ANGEL vs LICTOR
Excellent dynamism. The movement of the lictor and the effect of bullets striking it are captured very well. It says a lot about the displays that I never spotted the bullet strikes until I saw my own photos. |
SPACEWOLF vs RAPTOR
Another raptor, but this one getting blown away by the spacewolf. Again a nice compact scene packed with action and movement. |
GREY KNIGHT vs DEMON PRINCE
Another scene that evokes images of courage and honour, of battle against the odds. The swirling robes contrasting with the mutated demon prince, as the two face off. I loved this diorama. |
Now on to the single miniatures and squads. There were a lot of single miniatures small and large, mostly based on chaos miniatures. I was drawn to a handful of them as you can see below. |
AVATAR
The colours, the base and the detail were astounding. The colours (me being a Dark Angel and all) were very nicely complementing.
The toadstools on the bases exemplified the class of the designer. |
GM TAKAEDA MASASHI
Single miniature, simple base but excellent result. Painted to a very high standard, I especially liked the effect on the Nemesis force halberd.
I once again loved the way the colours complimented each other. |
