MAIL BAG E-MAIL COMMENTS

Creating and maintaining this website is indeed a tedious if not enjoyable task. I have passionately involved myself in every section of this web site and hope that passion and dedication shows in the end product. Apart from the sheer enjoyment of creating something new with a personal touch, one of the most rewarding features is the feedback some of the hobbyists and gamers send me. Some of these come in the way of comments in the guest book, while others are emailed to me directly.

I am most grateful to those who have showered words of encouragements in difficult times and I appreciate the kindness shown in most emails. Gathered here within this section are the accumulated words of encouragement and kindness that the Fortrress of the Unforgiven has received from visiting battle brothers. While all such feedback comments are immensely appreciated I particularly treasure the comment from a few special people such as close friends and those involved in the Games Development. Such emails, that are of special significance to me are highlighted with a miniature version of the
Shield of Appreciation
medal.

You have done an incredible job with your web sites! I went through page by page and really had a good read. I did see some jumbled letters on in the Ravenwing Armory list. I do look forward to coming back and reading through the site as you continue to develop it.

I do hope this email finds you well. Are many of your family still on the old island?

Regards,

What can I say? WOW! Absolutely magic! You have the sort of DA site I have been looking for. I am doing DAs, specifically now I am starting on a pair of DW squads, next a dreadnought (a real one, not a plastic one), and then I'll do a pair of Landraiders for them.

Just a quick note though : The Tempestus Vindictum and the Codex:Unforgiven pdf's can't be downloaded at the moment - the files seem to be inaccessible.
Great site.

Cheers,
Mike

Wow, we are very impressed with your site. It looks like you are well on your way to having one the best sites on the web. The site I represent is called Maximumwarhammer, and we cover everything and anything Warhammer, including watching other sites for news and news items. Whenever you update your site (if you want) send us over a little message and we will give you a newsheadline telling all of our viewers about the recent changes. It's as simple as that, and there is no obligation, no banners, nothing! We love the game, and the hobby and we just want to let everyone know whats going on in the 40k world. Be sure to check out our site for a better look. Good gaming. I'll give your site a little headline today!

Hey I like your site a lot! It rocks! Dark angels own! Only problem is no one will let me use your rules you have. sucks cause I was going to make that emperors champion for dark angels but I showed it in the store I played in and it was rejected- Oh well.

I am wondering if you are the owner of that kick ass Deathwing army on the site, and if you would ever sell parts of it or paint anything like it. If so reply please.

thanks,
-Jeremy

Good day "The Shadow Guard",

Writing to you for a few reasons.  First off, I saw your message on Dakka and B&C about your new improved site.  From my quick review it looks awesome, excellent, incredible.  I shall enjoy viewing it in detail after mid-terms. Second, I also saw your post about the play-test rules for the Dark Angels, I will certainly give them a try and post my feedback to the board.  I think the inclusion of none Ravenwing Speeders and such a bit odd, but I like it.  Hey they have to train/work their way up to be part of the Best of the Best somewhere....

Thanks and keep up the excellent work,

Craig

Hi,

I found your website via the discussion on the upcoming Dark Angels revision. Well done on your site!

Just in case you are interested I thought I'd send you the URL to my own website which has some Dark Angels info and pix, as that is the only 40K army I've every played for the last 5 years. I haven't updated the site in quite awhile; so long, I may have forgotten how! Anyway, have a look if you like:

Grand Master of the Shadow Guard.
Great website!!!!!!!!!!
I have been involved with the Games Workshop scene for over ten years and recently discoverd the joy of GW websites, but your site has to be the best I have found.  Especially, as I am a huge fan on the legends of the dark angels.
Keep up the good site!!!!

The new look and feel is awesome! I really like the "dungeon" concept you've applied to the site.

Even though I read through the introduction and see how the visitor benefits by reading your notes about navigation, one can still get around easily enough without doing that. Hats off to you--I've been struggling with navigation issues for a while.

Excellent stuff, man! You should be proud!

Hi there,

I just happened across your site. I must say it is very impressive!

I am a former 40Ker, and am thinking about getting back into it as primarily  a hobby. The reason for my email is a basic modeling question regarding the Space Marines. When the plastic marines were released, I had a heck of a time with the arms and weapons..How exactly should the bolters be attached to the right arm so the barrel will sit in the left hand.. I made the mistake as it turned out of attaching the bolters directly parallel with the hand..and they never seemed to match up with the left hand. Should the bolter have been attached somewhat offset off the top of the right hand? (I hope this is making sense!!) Anyways, great site.. lots of info, esp the painting guide..I could never get my Termies to look right..either too beige or too white..

Take care,
Jamie, Canada

I have looked over your site a few times and I love it, best Dark Angels site in years besides a few of portents aspects. Anyway, In the future I will be converting a Dark Angel Librarian in Terminator Armour. Now, I'm not sure if I can get my friends digital camera so we shall see how things turn out but, I could write an article for the conversion section.

Cheers,
Grand Master Lucifer

Hello,
I checked out your site, and it was the best DA site i have seen to date.  As far as the ebay minis, you can put them up if you like...although in my opinion they are not the best standard of paint.  If you do put them up, there is no need to link them to warlocke's lair, as I picked them up in a trade, and they are not our work.  I am planning on painting some DA's in the future to a high standard, and when I do, I will send you some pics to post if you like.

Hi!
I really, really like your detailed Dark Angels website. It is by far the best WH40K website I have come across so far. JUst a question regarding the army list you have on the site. Are they a combined version of Codex : Dark Angels as well as the modification found on GWS website? Coz some of the points do not seem to match. Eg the cost of a Ravenwing Attack Bike.

Thank you!

Best regards,
Daniel

Shadowguard,
Let me first say how much I love Fortress Unforgiven. I'm a new player and seeing the care and attention devoted to the Dark Angels by yourself and others went along way towards making them my army of choice. Thank you very much for it.I have a question regarding tactics vs. Cypher and the Fallen. In my research I've found nothing on this issue. "Hunting the Fallen" has yet to influence my games but my primary opponent is a Chaos player who's given me fair warning that Cypher will be a factor when he gets the model. My army list is based on mobile shooting with minimal HtH ability and going after Cypher in CC will be a problem. Is including an expensive assault squad worth it for this reason or just in case the Fallen becomes a factor?

If you or another veteran player could answer my question or offer advice I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks again for the awsome site and your time reading this.

Hello there,

Just wanted to say that you have a really wonderful website there. I'm a WHFantasy player with an eye towards playing 40k. After doing some research on your website and elsewhere, I've decided to walk down the long path of an all-Deathwing army. Thanks for all the effort you've put into the website.... it's really an amazingly professional and informative place.

Sincerely,
Joe

Thanks for the update! Your site rocks! It was in fact one of the biggest reason for me to start Dark Angels when I visited your site! Cheers and have fun with your studies!
