Combat Doctrines:

Being an Astartes chapter, the Angels of Genesis follow the Codex Astartes written by the primarch Guilliman of the Ultramarines. One of the things they inherit from the Dark Angels is their tendency to fight to the bitter end instead of falling back when necessary.

However, the Angels of Genesis are specialized desert troopers. They understand the dessert as a second home, and can survive even without their implants. As an initiation test, a recruit not only has to track down a wild Sand Dragon through the dunes of Cantalis, but must tame it with no weapons other than what he can make. This resulted in the formation of a new unit, the Cantalis Dragon Riders.

Famous Battles:

Despite the fact that the Angels of Genesis is still a fledgling chapter, they have fought in many battles since their creation.

The greatest battle the Angels have fought in was the massive invasion of their home world, Cantalis, by the forces of the vile Orks. As the battle raged on, Warlord Grimskull personally lead an army towards the Angels' fortress. Rather then waiting for them to come, the Angels readied their whole chapter and marched out of the fortress to meet the Ork forces.

The two armies never really met in combat, like most battles would end up happening. The Angels resorted to using their new units of "Dragon Riders". Using the creatures' ability to burrow into the sand, the Riders equipped their re-breathers and their infrared goggles, and then rode deep within the sand plains until they arrived at a position near to where the Orks were assembling.

As the main Angels army began a massive onslaught on the Orks, Grimskull ordered his men to meet the enemies. The Greenskin forces charged across the plains towards the Angels. Suddenly, as if the planet decided to expel the green invaders, the surface quaked. From right underneath their legs, the Orks were faced with huge reptilian creatures, ridding by Space Marines. The Dragon Riders emerged right in the center of the Ork horde, and devasted its warriors. Grimskull tried to rally his men, but founded the maw of an Elder Sand Dragon, sprouting from right under his feet, and swallowing him whole.

The battle barely lasted an hour. The Dragon Riders fought on and on. An extremely dangerous feature of the Sand Dragons is their wolf-like lifestyles. When one is in danger, it calls for its pack. The Elder Sand Dragon let out a huge howl that echoed across the dessert. The retreating Orks, already battered by the surprise attack, founded themselves running right into a wild and feral pack of untamed Sand Dragons. Grimskull's mighty army disappeared in a rending snapping of fangs of death.

Color Scheme:

The Angels of Genesis have a very intricate uniform scheme. The paint their armor green in honor of the Dark Angels, and bone to contrast. The Angels of Genesis paints their armor in a repetition of a pattern.

The Angels wear there boots green. The knee guards of their armor are bone. Then, the kneepads are green, while the breeches are bone. The chest plates are green, with the Imperial Aquilla bone-colored. Shoulder pads are usually bone with the trims green. The arms are bone-colored, except for the gloves and elbow pads, which are green. The helmets are bone-colored, but the front face is painted green, similar to the look of the Cantalis Sand Dragons, who have huge crests of bone protruding from the back of their head. Sergeants tend to have the spine of their helmet painted green also, like that of the elder Sand Dragons.

Company markings are painted on the right kneepad. Squad markings and numbers are painted on the left shoulder pad, traditional to the other Astartes chapters.

Also noticeable is that the members of the Inner Order do not wear the traditional robes like that of the Dark Angels. Most members of the Inner Order wear long tabards or mantles bearing the chapter symbol. The more high-ranking officials wear hooded cloaks or capes along with their tabards as a symbol of honor and nobility amongst the others.
