Deathwing Company Ares - Gods of War Recently promoted to Grand Master, Ares was bestowed the honour to command a young detachment of Terminators. Numbering only 16 with two Ancient Brothers that provide wisdom of the ages. The duty conferred on such a young force: "To hunt the fallen in all reaches of the galaxy and bring the traitors before the Inner Circle." Although small in number, Deathwing Company Ares has already carved a name for itself within the annals of Dark Angels history. A number of momentous victories have won it praise back on The Rock and sent a dire warning to all heretics and alien beings that choose to stand in the way of its eternal search for the fallen. Grandmaster Ares God of War Being the God of War himself, Ares is undeniably a Grand Master of the Deathwing. With terminator armour and a great big Company Standard he is clearly visible on the battlefield and never afraid to make his presence felt. Armed with a trusty Storm Bolter along with the epitome of Dark Angels weaponry the Sword of Secrets, he is the embodiment of the Adeptus Astartes doctrine: "We Fear not for we are Fear Incarnate." On several occasions, Ares has simply teleported into battle alone. His sheer power and tenacity, coupled with additional bionics, has wreaked havoc amongst many enemy ranks quickly demoralising the rear or flank of an enemy unit and forcing erratic changes from the enemy commander. During routine engagements, he would ride in the belly of a Crusader with an honour guard of close assault terminators and together with their armoured behemoth, would sow instant death upon the enemy. In full charge, little can stand in the way of the might of Ares and his Terminators. |
Dreadnought Notus |
Dreadnoughts Notus and Boreas The Winds of the North and South Ares never enters battle without two of his most venerable brothers Notus and Boreas. Both these armoured brothers have proven time and again the lynchpins of Ares' battle plans. As anchors along each flank, the Dreadnoughts bring their devastating long-range firepower to a focus and are able to decimate most any enemy unit in one round thus allowing a clear path for Ares and his Terminators to enter. Armed with a Twin-linked Lascannon, and Twin-linked Autocannon a Missile Launcher and Power Fist, the enemy cannot hide for long before their 48" range weapons begin a trail of destruction. Always equipped with Extra Armour, the venerable brothers have incorporated Tau shield technology from their campaigns on the planets near Tau'n. These generators are affixed to their right breastplates and provide additional staying power when the heat is on. |
