His unerving ability to sow confusion into the enemy ranks and weaken the resolve of the hardiest of oponents has made him an invaluable asset to the Deathwing in their seemingly never-ending quest to hunt down the Fallen. |
Interrogator-Chaplain Zakkiel & Command Squad Deathwing Chaplain Zakkiel has served in the Dark Angels first company for some seventy two years, inspiring members of the Deathwing to ever greater feats of bravery and heroism. During his time in the Dark Angels chapter, Zakkiel has had the honour of interrogating nine of the Fallen. Of those nine blasphemers , however, only one repented and earned himself a quick death. The single black pearl Zakkiel earned for that achievement is his most treasured item and is attached to his Rosarius. Armed with two assault cannons and lightning claws, squad Zakkiel can unleash a withering hail of fire before launching themselves upon the enemy and ripping them apart in hand-to-hand combat. |
Landraider Prometheus Apollo Apollo is one of only five Prometheus variant Land Raiders within the Dark Angels Chapter. It has served as Zakkiels' personal transport since his induction into the Deathwing. Its hull is adorned with Dark Angels iconography to inspire the Deathwing in battle. On many occasions Apollo has proved instrumental in ensuring the timely arrival of Dark Angels reinforcements with its advanced communications. |
Venerable Dreadnought Manetho Manetho, to the Dark Angels a name of legend. Manetho is the oldest of the Dark Angels dreadnoughts - legend has it that he was a great leader of the original Dark Angels legion during the Great Crusade, making him over 10,000 years old. Such is Manethos age that he is rarely woken for battle, except in the most dire of circumstances. Indead, it is recorded that Manetho has only seen battle once in the last 400 years. When he does go to battle however, he makes his presence felt by both Dark Angel and enemy alike. Manetho is a formidable sight on the battlefield, armed with four heavy weapons and two close combat weapons, he is more than a match for any opponent, be it infantry or heavily armoured vehicle. |
Barakiel was assigned exclusively to the Deathwing by the request of Sobek after he saved the life of his chaplian Zakkiel from a Demon of the warp some twenty four years ago. Barakiels abilities have helped in the capture of no less than five of the Fallen during his service in the Deathwing. |
