Deathwing Squad Pluvius Squad Pluvius are one of four squads equiped with the long range cyclone missile launcher system. Together with their similarly equiped Brethren, they provide the company with a solid long-range fire base. They are normally deployed to the rear of the advancing Deathwing force to provide fire support as the rest of the force advances. |
Landraider Helios Pattern & Venerable Brother Dreadnought Osiris Osiris is the newest of the Deathwing Dreadnoughts, being constructed only 64 years previously. It still contains the first member of the Deathwing to be interned within its sarcophagus - a young (relatively...) but inspring sergeant of the third squad. Osiris prefers a light anti-tank/anti-infantry role, and is armed accordingly - a twin-linked autocannon and close combat weapon with storm bolter. |
Venerable Brother Dreadnought Kheper Kheper was once a highly experienced sergeant in the Deathwing until he was mortally wounded by a genestealer during a boarding action on a space hulk. His heroic action helped save the lives of his squad members. Barely alive when his body was recovered, he was interned within the confines of a dreadnought sarcophagus where he has continued to serve the Dark Angels for the last 103 years. Kheper favours an anti-infantry role, hence the armament of twin-linked heavy bolters and close combat weapon with storm bolter. |
Venerable Brother Dreadnought Anubis Although Anubis is numbered as the fourth Dreadnought in the Deathwing, he is one of the most experienced within the company, having served in more than twice as many battles as any other Deathwing Dreadnought, with the exception of Manetho. Anubis always goes to battle armed with the deadly plasma cannon. Whilst not being powerful enough to destroy the most heavily armoured vehicles, it does bring much needed long range anti-personnel firepower to the Deathwing forces. In most situations Anubis utilises a close combat weapon in combination with the plasma cannon, which more than makes up for the lack of heavy anti-armour capabilities! Where situations dictate, Anubis is more than willing to replace the close combat weapon with a missile launcher to give that extra bit of long range fire power to his battle brothers. |
