Among the three holy dreadnoughts accompanying the strike force beyond death are the venerable brothers Abigor and Astaroth. Both are entombed in ancient Dreadnoughts dating back to the great crusade. The weapons of those machines are as old and reliable as the machines which carry them to battle.
Venerable brother Abigor is equipped with an ancient MK 1 Plasma cannon and a MK 1 Missile Launcher. Before he was entombed in the dreadnought nearly 180 years ago, Abigor served as veteran sergeant of the 2nd tactical squad. For his bravery and skill he designated for a promotion to the ranks of the Deathwing. Merely days before he was inducted to the first company, his body was destroyed in the explosion of a melta bomb he attached to a defiler of the Iron Warriors. Abigor excels in fighting heavily armoured infantry and vehicles.
Venerable brother Astaroth carries an assault cannon and another MK 1 Missile Launcher to battle. Unlike most of the brethren that were awarded a second life in the chapter's service, venerable brother Astaroth served as a simple brother in the 9th devastator squad. However, the skill with which he wielded the heavy bolter has not been seen for a century. In his last battle as a living brother he stood firm in the face of the carnifex that finally ripped his mortal body apart. However, each one of his bolter shots struck true and his brethren were finally able to kill the beast with little effort in close combat.
Even in the hull of a dreadnought, Brother Ramuel sticks to his proven and tested tactics he was accustomed to in his former life as brother sergeant in the 8th assault squad. Riding in his personal drop pod, he hits the enemy lines, bringing havoc with his assault cannon and the heavy flamer attached to his dreadnought close combat weapon. A usual tactic he makes use of is blocking the enemy's artillery line of sight before he eradicates heavily armed infantry, command squads and especially heavy tanks in close combat. Employing that modus operandi, he broke entire flanks single handedly in most fights against eldar and traitors of the Rufus III planetary defence forces
