Origin: Joined the chapter from the Kandoshian rocks, an inhabited asteroid field in the kandosh system. The rocks are a hive of scum and villainy where life if cheap and resources scarce. The DA seldom recruit from these rocks, as many xeno's and mutants live there. However the gang known as the black eagles contains the only pure human stock. A keen psyker brother barba sent out a call, through the warp for salvation for his human family against the alien. The Dark Angels were impressed with his intolerance for abhumans and the many dead mutants at his feet when they arrived. All were rendered senseless by his attack only repeating sorrow and guilt for their very being. Armoury: Usually equipped with a jump pack to compliment his usual weaponry of force sword, bolt pistol and a mystic robe, rumoured to be blessed by the emperor himself. The robe acts as a psychic hood. He is also usually accompanied by a watcher in the dark, known only by the citizens of Calisurf IV as 'the dude'. Though since recent chapter re-codification his appearances have dwindled. Current Position: Many chief librarians of the unforgiven claim he was their personal tutor when they were lexicaniums. In fact Brother-Librarian Mamaluke Cylar claims he was personally recruited by him from the Kandosh system. Indeed Brother-Librarian Barba acts primarily as field trainer for the library of the unforgiven. |
Famous Achievements: His career from then on is shrouded in mystery, with the exception of the Rynns world incident where he lead a detachment in a dawn raid against the green tide. After the squad he was leading was destroyed by lucky ork shooting he joined a group of scouts who then proceeded to hold against the orks until the rest of the detachment made it to the zone. He was seen again on Calisurf IV a neighbouring system of Kandosh this time without any support with a group of unknown youngsters. It has been surmised that these youngsters were aspirants to the chapter though none of the unforgiven has commented on this. |
