ADDITIONAL RULES FOR OFFICIAL SPECIAL CHARACTERS

Walk with caution within these blasphemed halls. Some of the most wanted and reviled characters of the 41st millennium are described here. These men lived and fought in the glorious times when the Lion and the Emperor walked amongst men. They breached the trust and allowed their arrogance cloud their judgement. Their petty ego was their failure. The fell and forever condemned their brethren and their successors to infamy.

You may field any of the following special characters in their appropriate position, only with the express permission from your opponent. The special characters must be used exactly as described and cannot be given additional wargear. The point cost and effects of their wargear is already included in their profiles.

Special Rules:

Fearless: Fallen Captain Dragien's Mercenaries For Hire are fearless whilst Captain Dragen is still alive, but once he has been removed all of Dragien's Mercenaries take normal morale tests.

Dragien: (Power Weapon, Plasma Pistol, Trademark Cigar (allows squad to re-roll failed morale checks within 12", should Dragien die a Morale Check must be taken))

Methelas: Techmarine/Vehicle Expert (Bolt Pistol, Thunder Hammer and Servo Arm fixes vehicle on a 4+, may use any abandoned vehicle on a 6+ (may attempt these rolls at beginning of turn if in contact with a vehicle))

Anovel: Weapons Black Market Expert (Missile Launcher and Special Munitions; May use either type of munitions once per game; both are 48" range Armour Piercing S10 Ap1, Shrapnel S4 Ap6 Ordinance Blast)

Barakus: (Heavy Bolter with Hellfire rounds and Suspensors, 18" Range, S5 Ap4 Assault 3 (Normal rounds) Hellfire Rounds 36" Range, S5 Ap4 Heavy 1 Blast (wounds on a 2+ regardless of other factors))

Face: (Meltagun)
Murdock: (Sniper Rifle)
Decimus: (Demolition Charges, Melta Bombs, Bolt Pistol and Close Combat Weapon)
Gabriel: (Narthecium, Reductor, Bolt Pistol and Close Combat Weapon)

Ezra: (Communications Link(Allows re-roll of any scatter dice of any friendly/allied deep striking units including his own within 24"), Bolt Pistol and Close Combat Weapon

Captain Dragien and his mercenaries may not be used separately and must be used as shown hence the unit costs 380 points but may take a Rhino transport at +50pts.

This unit replaces the compulsory Fallen Lord slot in the mercenary army. Each model may be used independently but does not suffer man alone tests but are susceptible to all other morale checks. All models can infiltrate no matter what the scenario and if the scenario allows they may deep strike (The Rhino and Chimera may not do either) Also if the player so wishes Captain Dragien and his mercenaries may be used as a stand alone army where only this unit may be taken.
