INTRODUCTION
The 10th is the scout company in most Spacemarine chapters. All potential spacemarines are initially inducted in to this company, where they learn all their necessary battle skills. As they get more experienced and prove their mettle they would then be promoted to one of the battle or reseve companies. Their roles, in addition to gaining battlefield experience, includes, reconnaissance, infiltration and occasionally special warfare. Some of the veteran scouts and scout specialists may elect to remain with the scout company to continue to deploy their particular skills,
Occasionally a large detachment containing it's own generic command structure or even the whole company may be deployed during large campaigns. The classical instance being the clash of the Dark Angels against the Ork hordes of Ghazhkull Thraka at Piscina V. The following list provides an alternate list for deploying an entire scout company. It is based on the Dark Angels Codex and can only be used with your opponents permission.
This list assumes the occasional situation where a large detachment containing it's own generic command structure or even the whole company might be deployed during large campaigns. It is based on the Dark Angels Codex, but can be adapted towards C:SM by simply altering the point values of characters. In game terms this list is aimed at those playing "Big Fun Games" of 5,000 points or more, where a detachment from the 10th (Scout) Company may join other standard forces. |
